App Privacy Policy

UIDM Student App – Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Udaipur Institute of Digital Marketing & Development with AI (“UIDM”, “we”) handles information in the UIDM Student App (package com.uidm.app).

Information we collect

  • Account details: your name, mobile number, and optionally email, address, city and the course you are interested in.
  • Course records: courses, batches, attendance, fee invoices, payments and certificates linked to your UIDM account.
  • Location: only when you tap “Scan QR to check in”, your current location is sent once to confirm you are on campus. We do not track location in the background.
  • Content you add: profile photo, community posts, comments, likes, community profile (headline, skills, bio, LinkedIn link), job applications and resumes you upload, and event registrations.
  • Device information: a push-notification token, app version and device model, used to send you notifications and keep you logged in.

How we use it

  • To log you in with a one-time password (OTP).
  • To show your classes, attendance, fees, certificates, jobs, events and notifications.
  • To process course requests, referrals, job applications and event registrations.
  • To run the student community and keep it safe (including reviewing reported posts).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Messaging providers (WhatsApp Business via AiSensy, SMS via MsgClub): your mobile number and OTP, only to deliver login codes and messages you opted into.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: your device token, to deliver push notifications.
  • Payment gateway: when you pay a fee, you are taken to the gateway’s secure page. Card and UPI details are entered there, not in the app.
  • Other UIDM students: your name, photo, community profile, posts and badges are visible in the community. You can hide yourself from the member directory in Profile → My community profile.
  • Employers: when you apply for a job, your application and resume are shared with that employer through UIDM.

Security and storage

All data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on UIDM’s servers. Login tokens are stored privately on your device.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Profile → Delete my account, or contact UIDM at info@uidm.in or WhatsApp +91 77268 34560 from your registered mobile number. We will delete your app login, profile photo, community profile, posts, comments, likes, job applications, event registrations and device tokens within 30 days.

Fee invoices, payment records and issued certificates are kept as required by law and so that certificates can still be verified.

Children

The app is meant for students aged 18 and above and is not directed at children.
